Our Ministries: Local Churches
A great part of our work here in the Dominican Republic is in ministering to Seventh-Day Adventist churches across the island. As God provides opportunities to speak and teach, we accept and by God's grace, the truth is proclaimed. As there are a large number of churches here on the island it is impossible for just a few to be divided among so many. As such, one of the main goals of the Samana Mission is to teach and prepare groups of people to go out and minister to their brothers and sisters within the churches throughout the D.R.
There is an especially great need of health reform and education among our Dominican brethren. By God's grace, it is our sincere desire to fill that need by training a people who will boldly stand up and proclaim the truths of the Gospel.
The following is some basic information on some of the programs we've been blessed to provide.
District Church Program
A one week program, held in the local church or at the Samana Mission, focused primarily on the youth and young adults. Each student is thoroughly educated on a topic throughout the course of a week that they may in turn take that topic and teach it to their fellow students and then, as a group, present the combination of topics to their church and community. Topics include:

Dress Reform
Music and Entertainment
Courtship and Marriage
Bible Study
Worship and Preaching Principles
Righteousness by Faith (Christ abiding in you)
Marriage Retreat
This series of seminars, held in the Samana Mission or at a local church, as the need arises, is to educate and encourage married couples in their relationship with God and one another. The Bible has much to say about the sound principles of marriage, principles which are often overlooked. Through this seminar, it is our desire to impart the solid principles that will bring joy and peace in Christ to each marriage. Topics include:

Sex and Courting After Marriage
Financial Planning
Country Living
Child Rearing
Massage/Health Care
